June 2023: monthly review

Last month (June 2023)

Stories: Forced to Cum is taking a back seat while I work on the games.

Games: The Zhonghua Zero-Day (TZZ) is progressing rapidly. It might be finished by the end of July, if all goes well. Escape from Enderon is on hold, but I intend to finish it eventually. However, I might put it through a round of rescoping and refactoring as I think the current plan for it is overly ambitious. Realistically I don’t think Whodinis Escape Room Challenge is going to be finished.

Last month I put in a lot of work to build out The Zhonghua Zero-Day. In this game, you play as a spy on a mission that is set on a villain’s luxury yacht. Currently, it features a tile-based map; customisable keybinds for navigating the map; a simple combat encounter system based on three key stats plus bonuses/penalties and die rolls; and the dialogue system that was used in The Oxford Piranhas. The latest build is v0.3.0 which is available from the Homotextual Gaming Guild Discord server.

Next month (July 2023)

Stories: On hold while I work on TZZ.

Games: Full steam ahead on The Zhonghua Zero-Day. The enemy encounter system will be getting reworked. I am working on a sex scene generator widget as well. After that I will need to write the remaining scenes and endings and then polish up the game for launch.

After TZZ, I will go back to Enderon and refocus it on the original gameplay loop, which was originally about embarking upon an epic journey and surviving encounters, while struggling against an ever-increasing bondage burden. Getting sent to prison made the game far too large in scope. That kind of gameplay would work better in a reboot of Surrendr.

Also, I’m planning to improve my drawing skills so that I can do illustration for future games, however, this is a long-term and ongoing effort.

I’m around on the Homotextual Gaming Guild Discord server, where you can message me, discuss my creative projects, and grab dev builds of my current games. If you’re a fan of gay-focused interactive fiction, come and say hello!

As always, many thanks to all my patrons for your support!
