July 2022: monthly review

Last month (July 2022)

Stories: Nothing to report.

Games: Released Enderon build v0.1.5 (link). You can also download it from Mega.nz (link). I will post new incremental builds on the Homotextual Gaming Guild Discord server.

Compared to v0.1.3, this build adds:

1. User-defined seeded vs true random number generation. So if you liked how the game could give you different outcomes if you moved back and forth, you can set it to work that way, and even change it during a playthrough.

2. Music! Well, one track that I selected as the main theme for Enderon. More to follow in future.

3. Scenes that trigger if the player’s health or energy drop to zero.

4. Tweaks to existing scenes. The wash in river scene now requires the player to actively choose to trigger it – which might lead to the player being attacked. The friendly villager scene may result in the villager deciding to turn in the player to the authorities.

Next month (August 2022)

Stories: None planned right now.

Games: Development to continue on Enderon. Trello board: https://trello.com/b/150woSdI/.

At some point I may switch to work on another project for a while – either an escape room game project or the porting of Santa’s Sweatshop into Twine. Please let me know in the comments if you have a view on what you’d prefer.

I’m around on the Homotextual Gaming Guild Discord server, where you can message me, discuss my creative projects, and grab dev builds of my current games. If you’re a fan of gay-focused interactive fiction, come and say hello!

As always, many thanks to all my patrons for your support! Thanks for reading!
