February 2020: monthly update

This post brings the Varlance Interactive website up to date with the Patreon monthly update posts.

Hello! This is the monthly update for Feb 2020 which outlines what was achieved in the previous month, announces any important news or changes, and provides some idea of what’s coming up.

The month before last (Dec 2019 – Jan 2020)

Stories: 13 stories/story chapters published across 8 stories/series. 29,768 words in total (mean of 2,290 per story)!

  • The Purity Ring, part 2 was the highest rated story.
  • Shelved and Both Cocks Locked had the highest view counts.

Game: Work continued on my interactive fiction game, Escape from Enderon (working title).

Patreon: Patreon channel overhaul. 3 new patrons – thanks so much!

Last month (Feb 2020)

Stories: 3 stories/story chapters published across 2 stories/series. 5,761 words in total (mean of 1,920 per story).

  • A Game of Ass Assassin: Path 1.2.2.1 (Only Seventeen: SUCCESS) was the highest rated story.
  • Ass Assassin, Round 2 Path 1 (Hunted) had the highest view count.

Game: 2 early release builds of my interactive fiction game, Escape from Enderon (working title). Public release should follow next month! $5+ patrons can get the latest build here. v0.0.7b changelog is here.

Patreon:  1 new patron – thanks so much!

Next month (Mar 2020)

Stories: I am (still) working with A Voyeur Fan (here’s his Patreon page!) to finish the main plotline of A Game of Ass Assassin. I’d like to finish the story started in The Twelve Days of Punishmas. I also have a bit of a backlog of older work that I will release gradually.

Game: I plan to release a public version of Escape to Enderon. Trello board is here

Patreon: The $1 tier will be removed once the public version of Escape from Enderon is released! (The reason for this is simply to reduce the inefficiency associated with payment platform fees for $1 pledges. See this post: https://blog.patreon.com/refresh-patreon-tiers.)

Reminder: I tend to hang out on the GaySpiralStories Discord, so you can contact me there as well as through Patreon or by email.

That’s it for this month. Thanks for reading!
